I did have a bit of a refund problem at first, which was kind of frustrating, but support did get back to me and, you know, they ended up fixing it. It took a little while, so it wasn’t super instant or anything, but yeah, fair enough in the end

"Good for normal trips, but a bit hopeless when things go wrong"
I use Trainline often and, to be fair, it usually does the job. Tickets show up quickly and I’ve never had any drama getting through the barriers. But the second a train gets cancelled or changed, that’s where it all gets a bit messy, and Trainline doesn’t make it easy. Refund info can be unclear and support can take ages, which is not ideal when you’re already dealing with travel chaos. I’ll still use it for straightforward trips, but I don’t fully trust it when things start going wrong.

"Frustrating Login Experience"
I tried logging into my Trainline account and it kept telling me something was wrong, even after I reset my password. I did manage to get in eventually, but it was really frustrating and felt way slower than it should have been. Once I was finally inside, booking was fine, but the whole account login situation seriously needs sorting out

"Worked fine, just wish train travel was less of a hassle"
Used the app for my train today and the mobile ticket popped up straight away, which was a relief because I really can’t be bothered with printing stuff anymore. printing tickets is such a pain, and messing around at the station is even worse. The scanner worked fine too, no drama there. Still, train travel always feels like there’s some little hassle waiting to happen, but this part was actually handy tbh.

Booked my train ticket and the email came through pretty much right away. The app notifications were actually handy too, letting me know the platform and any changes so I wasn’t just standing around wondering what was going on. I used a promo code when booking and it went through without any hassle, which isn’t always the case with these things. It only saved me a few quid, so it’s not something I’d rave about if you’re expecting a massive discount, but for a quick booking it was simple and did the job. Happy overall.
